Hidden Safari!

Hidden Monkey!                                              The idea for this project was to draw an animal lightly in cool colors, and then over the top draw multiple lines and patterns in all different warm colors.  This was fun, because we got to make red glasses that once we held over our eyes you could see the animal we drew first perfectly, but without the glasses it was very hard to see.

This would be a fun project to incorporate into a Language Arts class.  Each student could be assigned something  that they had to keep a secrete.  They would follow the right steps, but rather than writing three short statements, they would have to write a narrative story about their object, without giving it away.  Students would read the story and then try to guess what the hidden object is before looking at it through their glasses.
